We had a very comfy stay in this lovely little cottage. Parking was easy as was check in and, even though this place is on a major road there is very little road noise inside. The kitchen is very well equipped with good supplies of crockery and cutlery/utensils. There is a nespresso coffee machine with pods and the dishwasher also has pods supplied. The fridge also had a good size freezer, something not seen often in Airbnb. Tea, coffee and Welsh cakes were also provided. Another great touch was a carton of long life milk, a very welcome find if you arrive without any milk. There are no shops nearby but Aldi in Brecon a few miles down the road.There is all you need to get a lovely fire going in the woodburner and the blankets on the sofa (very comfy) were also a good addition.There was outdoor seating to enjoy watching the pair of red kites that seem to be residents too.All in all, a very thoughtfully appointed accommodation. We will return.

Myself and two friends stayed at Sue’s place during the Hay-on-Wye book festival, which fit the bill nicely as it was only a 30 minute drive to the festival, but also set within a 15 minute drive of some of fabulous walks within Brecon Beacons. Sue was extremely helpful as we tried to navigate getting into the town and where to leave our cars, allowing us to park and dash onwards for our adventures. The place was so cute–a fabulous mixture of old wooden beams and stonework but kitted out with all the modern amenities you could ask for (while still remaining very cosy and traditional in appearance). Our only real concern was not bashing our heads on the wooden beam just outside the upstairs bathroom 🤣 We had a fabulous time here–the views of the low cloud on the hills in the morning was stunning to wake up to!

My partner & I loved our stay! Sue is the perfect host, very responsive and kind. We found the cottage easily (I was so happy about this as I’ve stayed in cottages in wales that took many long, bendy country roads to reach) however this stay has such an ideal location! A 2 min drive to the local village of Brecon – which we found a “murder mystery” themed night at a pub called The Foundary. As well as insane foods at the Gorkha & Khukuri – authentic Nepalese restaurant, we loved the food, after a long drive we were happy to only drive 2 mins from the cottage to the restaurant. The location is completely ideal for those wanting to visit Brecon Beacons & waterfalls. Must say our favourite part above all, was waking up to look out the window to see all the cute sheep going about their day!!

The property was precisely as described and was clean and the furniture was comfortable. Bedrooms were well laid out with nice hand and body towels for all guests. Kitchen was well equipped with loads if pits and pans and crockery. We stayed 3 nights and the Town of Brecon was a short drive away. Communication was good and all went smoothly. We almost run out of loo paper though but survived. A great place for a large group. We would come back.

Communiation with Sue was excellent with regard to check in and check out arrangements. Everything was as described, and we had all we needed for a lovely long weekend. The location off the main road , but with no traffic noise inside the property, was perfect for food shopping etc in Brecon and in the opposite direction, out over the mountains to Waterfall Country. The weather was pretty chilly for late April so we made use of the complementary basket of wood after a day’s walking the trails . All in all a great trip . Thanks, Sue.
