Nestled at the heart of the majestic Black Mountains, overlooking the breathtaking beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll find our charming café. Just a short seven-mile journey from the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye, our establishment is steeped in history and warmth.

Founded by Glynwen, the grandmother of the present owners, the café emerged during the challenging times of the 1930s recession within the walls of a former malt house and brewery. Through the vibrant 1960s, the café’s cellar transformed into the Honey Cavern, a legendary live music night club that attracted music enthusiasts from far and wide. Then in 1994, a new Texmex menu was introduced, capturing the palates and hearts of the locals and visitors alike, becoming a cherished addition to our offerings.

As you step into our café, you’ll be greeted by a cozy and inviting ambiance, perfect for relaxation during the winter months. Adorned with original paintings, the atmosphere exudes creativity and charm. On sunny days, our peaceful and sheltered terrace offers an idyllic spot to bask in the sunlight while indulging in the magnificent view that unfolds before you.
